Light one end evenly and let it burn. As it smolders slowly, wave the stick around to help direct the smoke. Set an intention and use the smoking stick to cleanse your space and promote positive energy. Once you’re ready to end the ritual, extinguish the stick by pressing the burning end into a bowl of sand. You can also let it burn out naturally and collect the ash in a fireproof receptacle, such as a shell, glass, or ceramic dish.
